Animal Farm the last of it!

Even though you think it is only a book about old animals it is really based on a specific part in history. This story was written by George Orwell in 1945, based on the history in Russia and was turned into book. If you can get your way in life then you will survive, if you believe everything you hear, who knows what your fate will be. In Animal Farm, the way characters respond to the stories has a strong connection to their ability’s to survive.

In animal farm, one of the characters that got the good life was Squealer because he mastered the way to survive. First, one way was the problem with the beds. In one of the seven commandments it stated, “No Animal shall sleep in a bed.” The point was that they were not allowed. Squealer however convinced all the animals that they were allowed but you just couldn’t have any sheets. So the commandment was now” No animal shall sleep in bed with sheets.” Second, there was also the incident with the milk and the apples. The pigs stole the milk and the apples from all the other animals that need it as well. Squealer, with his excellent speaking, was able to convince the other animals to let the pigs have the milk and apples by” Many of us actually dislike milk and apples. We need the milk and apples to stay healthy for you. If we don’t drink the milk, and eat the apples, you don’t want Jones to come back?” Third, there was also the death of Boxer. Squealer told all the animals on the farm that he died peacefully in a hospital. He really got sold to a horse slaughterer. A lesson that was mostly picked up is that if you are like Squealer, then you will survive and you really picked up the game of life. As for Squealer he ended up rich and powerful and also a right hand man for everyone.

Another animal that had a strong connection to the story Animal Farm was Benjamin. He was in the middle of the entire process. When I said in the middle is that they understand but still need to put pieces together. Firstly, during the debate about the windmill or food, he never picked a side to go to. He is just an animal in the sidelines. He didn’t see the need for a windmill at all, but they needed the food as well. “Only old Benjamin refused to pick a side in the debate.” Second he saw the change in the seven commandments. He was the first to notice that something odd was going on in the farm. Since he couldn’t read as well he told Muriel to read them to him and then they finally found the change. However, if they talked out of Napoleon’s rules they will die. Third, Boxer death really hurt everyone. Benjamin said, ”Fools, do you not see what is written on the side of the van.” The van read” Alfred simmonds, horse slaughterer and glue boiler, willingdon” A lesson that was picked up for people like Benjamin in that you should be the way you are. You just need to be faster in figuring out what is really about to happen. As for Benjamin, he survived the game.

The last animal is boxer. He believes everything he hears and that is a problem. First when boxer believes every story he hears. One example is when he said, “ Napoleon is always right.” This is a lie, because Napoleon always lies every animal on the farm. Second, one story he believes is with the windmill. He believed that he had to work harder on the windmill to get it completed. He asked the cockerel to wake him three-quarters of an hour earlier instead of half in hour. While he was hurt, he kept on working on the windmill. Finally, he believed the story of his death. Before he died they told him that he was going to die peacefully in the hospital. Another lie that boxer believed. In reality he was sold to a Horse Slaughterer. Boxer should have learned a lesson to not to believe everything you hear because it is mostly all lies. In the end, Boxer got his tragic fate.

In Animal Farm, the way that they here the story impacts their ability to survive in the world. Many animals are important to the story but there are three that really gets through the story. Squealer for instance was important because he did all the chaos in the story. Next, Benjamin was the one that realized all the lies that were told to every animal and he understood what he needed to do next. Finally, we have Boxer. He was a horse that believe everything that he would hear and they were all lies. The story animal farm shows that those people that can't figure out the truth in time, will soon realize their tragic fate.
